Got the good news today. Interviewed last week on 01/12.
The interview was in fact a very pleasant experience.
Thanks to all who came forward and emailed and called with good advice.
I followed it all.

Here the time line for those who are interested:

Applied on 11/11/05
Got the call for the interview on 12/06/05
Interviewed on 01/12/06
Email with the good news on 01/19/06

Phase 2 may take 8-12 weeks with “most likely opportunities for an A320 or E190 class will be March, April and May 2006”.
