Dual qual is a term that is frequently used incorrectly. Dual qual ERJ/CRJ isn't on the table. Common category for CRJ-200 and CRJ-700/900 is being discussed. Currently the 200 is a separate crew category despite all variants being under the same type rating.
You almost nailed it, but remember that both airplanes are under the same category but are different types. The CL-65 type rating covers all CRJs.
