My daughter did a tour in Afghanistan. They wildly mistrusted the ANA due to the Taliban plants within their ranks, and she holds out zero hope for that country. The soldiers sit around smoking hash all day, and when the Taliban come roaring back, they will melt away. Or join them.
The thing is, I couldn't give a ****, so long as no violence is exported from that country. If they want to kill each other, there's nothing we can do to stop them.
