Is this regional crap/underpaid pilot situation ever going to stop? You all seem so miserable.
Why doesn't a whole company of pilots draw a line at some point and just strike. Don't show up at work, nationwide, until they raise your F/O salary to at least $40k/year.
It's sad to read nothing but complaints about working at regionals from so many people that work at regionals. It's as if you all spent 5-10 years working your asses off everyday to get a right seat and then the whole notion of being a pilot became less desirable than working as a cashier's at McDonalds.
With this new 1500-hour rule and the fact that less people are becoming pilots, or are willing to go the full stretch, it'll just be a matter of time before supply/demand of pilots dictate a salary increase. I know there's always gonna be that kid wanting to fly the bird for free, but as a bigger picture, less and less people will want to work at the regionals and maybe at the point.....someone in management will realize that $20 million bonus might be better off being paid off to the workforce.
Ugh.
