In a twist of fate the Marines are paying F-18 O-4s $200k to get out.
Timing (except CAS) was never my strong suit it seems!
I'm only in touch with a few still serving so I haven't heard of this Grumble. What is the reason? Simple overstaffing? The Marines have historically controlled their manpower needs on the entry level - not offered early outs or the like.
Do you remember the USN/USMC ever offering money upfront on the bonuses?
