Voting yes to dual qual reduces required total number of pilots across the system. That is going to reduce number of pilots the company needs to hire to replace people leaving for better places and to adjust to new FD/DT. It is in most pilots' interest to vote no on dual qual, as it will slow down your progress up the seniority list.
*unless of course the company offers something mind blowingly good in exchange of it. Which probably won't happen.
EXACTLY! HEED THIS ADVICE!
Pilots have a terrible reputation for cutting their own throats. The company is counting on the majority -200 pilots voting themselves a raise without realizing the consequences. Think about this long and hard! Right now we have the company over a barrel because they can NOT meet staffing needs come January. This is their solution. And just like PBS did, it will greatly increase stagnation and time spent on reserve.
