A lot of guys don't get it, they think it's one airline undercutting another...not true, it was an IN HOUSE gutting. I know this is a generalization, but it was junior pilots finding a way to step over the guys who stuck it out and it also allowed the 'new' company to pay lower wages for another contract period. It's good that it gave furloughed United pilots a place to go, but once they leave do you think they really care about who they left behind? They blame the regionals for their furloughs...
I mean more about guys NOW. I understand that the original d-bags were in it to score a windfall for themselves regardless of who they hosed in the process... But now guys are signing on to the bottom of a list at an airline that's worse than any of the competitors... I mean, there's (as far as I can tell) no upside, yet people are still doing it... I honestly want to know what those people are thinking.
