I thought it was rough being a low time intern to line pilot guy at ACA (and for the most part I was accepted since I could do the job, but there are always jerks). I can't imagine what a CA that spent 5-10 years at the regionals and 5 years in the right seat of a 717 will think about flying with a 450 hr grad (from any school).
The program is designed to take kids right out of school. I doubt they will even have 450 TT the way the program is being put together. Riddle, UND, Purdue, Kent state and others already have internships that reduce mins or guarantee interviews. This bridge progam is completely different.

Hopefully the CA will have some perspective and realize that this type of situation has happened before and will probably fade out once pilot supply comes back up.
