Anyone have any suggestions of must places to go for eats, sightseeing, and/or great places to stay. Planning, of course, to run down to the Pike Place Market, but other than that, haven't ever been downtown Seattle. (Been to Ft. Lewis once, but would rather leave that experience in my past!)
Thanks for the reply.

Pike Place Market is a good start. The Market is just up from the waterfront. You have to walk along the waterfront and go to the aquarium. There are a lot of good places to eat lunch and probably dinner along the waterfront. Take the monorail down to Seattle Center and see the Space Needle along with the other stuff down there there. The Space Needle is where the big fireworks show will be on July 4th. If you like to run, running around Green Lake is nice (walking is too!). A little to the north in North Seattle is Woodland Park Zoo.
I tend to avoid going to downtown Seattle so I don't know the good places to stay. Almost any restaurant you go to will be good. The have some reaaalllly nice places with a great view on Shilshole Bay. (Think I spelled that right) Stewarts at Shilshole comes to mind. It is kind of expensive. Another nice place is Salty's (in West Seattle).
Have fun!
