Don't quote me but what I was told by one of the 717 LCA was that they'd look at the DC9 schedule and swap a 717 on the route randomly. So if a 9 was going to BNA today they could pull it and put on a 717. But I don't understand how that works if the DC9 seats more than the 717, that'd mean bumping passengers. But that was what they explained while sitting on the js the other day.
Also he mentioned doing OEs via that already acquired 717. Old school training in the plane!
Although I think this was a LCA that couldn't actually hold 717 A? I'm not sure I understood what was going on there.
Isn't the plane getting paint down in MIA now? I wonder when it will be done.
