To answer your question DMC12, RJPilot is mostly correct. The upgrade time is more or less 6 years up to 7 if I'm not mistaken. 5 years might be pushing it. It is debatable whether or not that will lower. Most people expect it to go lower considerably to about 3-4 years. That is due to attrition to other carriers and flow to AA. There are so many variables with where upgrade times may go due to equipment changes and flow restrictions, etc.
