Hypothetically speaking I think it would solve someone's staffing issue. We have 2500ish for a future 81 airplane operation. Say we lose 1000 in the next two years, just a ballpark guess. That still leaves a surplus of pilots to fly other airplanes. Eagle as well. If they lose planes there will be plenty of surplus pilots. Hypothetically republic and sky west could solve their staffing issues for those new planes they can't staff right now. Buying a shrinking airline can solve a growing airline's problems.
