The union couldn't care less about reserves. Even the new ATL CA rep, who has been fighting hard for reserve rules, is beginning to admit he's just banging his head on the wall. All our union cares about is protecting QOL for the super senior. Reserves are cannon fodder who just need to "pay their dues". Nevermind that none of those senior union guys spent more than a couple of months on reserve in their 20+ year careers. We have people who have literally spent 8 years on reserve. That's ridiculous. And the reason reserves are treated like crap is because the union lets (and in some cases encourages) management do it to protect the lineholders. I see 30% reserve staffing becoming the new norm very soon.
