Wasn't aware of the finer points of the VolFur Recall process.
So, since LUAL HAS started to recall.. those VolFur pilots who were senior to the most junior recalled pilot may return.
But.. they can only return to the position they held, or whatever they could hold now.. correct?!
So a 756 Capt or FO may still return to that seat, even if it's not technically available to those being recalled, right? But they can't move into anything higher than what they could actually hold now?
This will be interesting for those VolFur who are on the LCAL side for sure~

Would have already happened. All of the vol furlough recalls from the UAL side would have been offered and either already accepted and been trained, stayed put if at CAL or bypassed, accepted and gone on mil leave, or bypassed. The latest set of recall notices were all invol furlough recalls. I had a friend in the bunch that was vol furlough that has trained in March and has a month+ on the line as of now. Not sure what the total effect was, but it must be minor, as we haven't heard anything about it.
