Two comments:

If you're sick, you're sick. Don't fly. A) you're not doing yourself any good, and B) you're flying buddy doesn't want you there either. The company sure as hell doesn't want you bending metal and would be extremely hard pressed if they chose not to pay you for your rightful sick leave.

Secondly, as to our merger, I feel like I just stumbled into a 2008 version of an APC thread, or a UAL/Continental thread, or a US Air/AA thread, or SWA/AT.....move on guys. We're kicking ass and taking names while these other companies thrash about. It's over....and it's working.
