I said absolutely and told him what was going on, he was very caring on the phone and understanding. I have stayed up front of everything and kept in contact with the company, the union and DPMA. There is a process leading into the DPMA or disability and its the company's process that says you have to use sick time first before DPMA or harvey watt kick in.
Now if someone is out sick for extended period of time for a cold or simple sickness than i could see more questions from the company but with legit hospital/surgery stuff its pretty easy to see its legit.
So far the company has been great and i havent had any issues at all. Hopefully recovery is quick enough that i can get back before disability kicks in. We shall see

The DPMA people are great. They can guide you throughout the process. Also, the Harvey Watt lady was very helpful. Went the the process last year.
