SkyWest was willing purchase ASA because it secured a 15 year contract through 2020 with nice margins for both sides. That contract also guaranteed a minimum percentage of DCI flying in both SLC and ATL but even with the profits ASA's making XJT's dragging them into the red. Remember Comair was also a cash cow for Delta who paid $1.8B for them in 1999 and then shut them down almost 13 years later (2012).
Would you rather Delta had shutdown ASA as well or are you so delusional as to think they wouldn't have?
You forgot the part about Skywest negotiating a CPA with cal with 16% concession from the XJT pilots in order to bring them down to parity with Skywest pilots and help cause XJT to become unprofitable. XJT's losses after 9/08 are directly attributable to that. Skywest broke it and now they paid for it.

No need to apologize. It's just an Internet forum. It just gets old reading people's personal attacks after discussing issues. To me,it just shows that you have nothing else to base your argument on so you try to discredit the opponent rather than his argument. It's the classic ad hominim argument.
Anyway, if you read what I've written on this thread and on the one in FI with the same name, you will see where I'm coming from. I believe I've answered your question as nausem. It's the attitudes that irk me. I guess it's the inconsiderate attitude that bothers me. Actually, more so the attitude if those that know what they are taking advantage of at others expense and are still inconsiderate.
