Sorry bub- but no. I've actually never interviewed with Delta and never made a strong attempt to obtain one. When I got hired here you guys thought you were going to be a part of the USair family and only Spirit and AirTran were hiring out of my other preferred carriers. Spirit called first.

What you view as the best fit for you doesn't mean it's the same view for others. Even on the right side of 40 I've got no desire to go to the bottom of a +12,000 pilot group with a horrid (for me) junior base and little movement in the last 5 years. I haven't worked a Christmas since I've been here and I don't plan on breaking that streak. I like my quality of life now, not the hazy promise of it sometime in the next 10 years.

Also- maybe you view Spirit as less "stable" than that legacy job of yours but I'd beg to differ. Just because the product offered is different doesn't make it inferior- ask Sam Walton's grandkids. Spirit has shown consistent profitability, is wowing Wall Street and carries no debt on the balance sheet. Ask Lobaeux...he gets it. I don't think he liked the idea of being your furlough fodder either...

Well, I'm not on the right side of 40, but there is no way, no how, I want any part of the Delta Stepford Pilot syndrome. Mr. WhiteMale's attitude exudes one of the prime reasons I have zero desire to be part of that nonsense. Also, like you said, Gator.....not interested in being furlough fodder at the bottom of 12K pilots. Oh let's not forget, DAL's bases have zero to offer me personally, so that's another fine reason. Hell, if I wanted to be part of some ridiculous Legacy machine, I'd look towards United or Airways (er...American....or whatever they're planning on becoming) before I'd even consider DAL.
