There are going to initially be 40 E175s vs hundreds of CRJs. It's likely that someone bidding the 175 would get a pay raise at the expense of a decrease in QOL. There will be less lines, less ability to trade and drop and probably issues with staffing initially. That's going to make the senior pilots who are used to that kind of thing less likely to transition. It may be more attractive to the junior pilots who are used to not being able to drop and flying high credit months.
If they really do add more than a year seat lock to the E175 that will be another factor as well. Even if the E175 is in my base and it would give me a pay raise I wouldn't bid it if I thought it would prevent me from upgrading. I doubt many people will take a 2+ year seat lock if we anticipate our upgrade time to the bro or CRJ dropping.
