But you gotta realize, if the DTW crews are hit with ground stops leaving DTW for the east coast or they get stuck/diverted going to places on the east coast like RDU or ORF... thats gonna have a domino effect for later DTW flights to OMA, DFW, and BFE. That'll "significantly affect flight operations at any of the Company’s domicile(s) as determined by the OCC"

But go ahead and feed your suspicion that it's all about the company trying to cover up for bad staffing. I don't care. It ain't my problem!
