Didn't stand their ground. We need to start holding the line. The regionals will
feel the sting of a pilot shortage and we as pilots will have the upper hand for bargaining. Management knows this, and that's why they want to get compensation As low as possible before the bargaining power shifts. After all, if the pilots leave due to low pay decrease in QOL ect... The regional will be forced to offer pay above standards just to retain and lure the limited amount of qualified applicants in.
Slats- you are a bitter dude for some reason. You do bring up an interesting situation. Classically, SKYW management has looked out for their pilots. You have a lot of "company first" pilots over there. It has been a very good thing over the years. It has been for the most part.. A mutual looking relationship to an outsider. These next few months/years will be interesting to watch and see where this relationship goes for you guys. Hope it works out well for all of you. Do yourself a favor though... Move on and leave pinnacle in your past. You're gonna blow a gasket.
