A friend called me this morning and said there was a recorded message from flight operations that says hiring to begin in November. Looking to hire 300, starting with 50 per month in November 2013.
What, good news? It can't be true!
Queue the "doom & gloom" crowd in 3............2...............1.
1) We're only going to "hire until we furlough!" DALPA/ALPA National screwed us again.
2) What, only ~1% of the list in 2013. (e.g. 50/mo.) We never should've fallen for the "sales job DALPA gave us on this TA!
3) I'm ONLY going to have MAYBE 100 more people below me by the end if this year. "I can't wait to get displaced again, on yet another displacement AE".
4) DPA would've hired a long time prior to Nov. '13.
5) Someone is still going to pick to too many Green slips & it'll delay hiring until Nov. '14. (Hockey, where ya at?)
6) Carl will state, "Alfa's/Slow's/Sailing's SPIN machine was still wrong. I'm right, everyone with an opposing opinion is wrong. Please renew your DPA card."
(Whoever believes that TC wouldn't run for DPA President is either living under a rock, or choosing to ignore the obvious!)
7) ......Insert all "doom & gloomery" that I missed!........
8). Oh, one more. Johnso29, "how could you have become such a DALPA Kool-aid drinker? Don't you know things are so much better at every other airline? (Unable to insert additional emoticons.)
