We competed for our job back then and have endured a less than ideal ride through the DAL/NWA merger, sale of Compass, and being voted out of Delta ALPA waiting for our turn to move on. I and many other cpz flow-ups are ex-military and took what job was available without feeling we were entitled to more than any other qualified pilot. I just have to defend these pilot's, ex-mil and not, as being deserving of these class spots and feel it would be wrong to ask us to go back and compete for our jobs all over again.
Are the class spots set aside for you, or do you have to interview. If you have to interview then aren't you competing for the job? Is it your opinion that that is wrong?

As a side note, I'm curious if Compass pilots will have to complete an application through Airline Apps. I understand you've got the interview offer, but I'd hope there was an application the company would have to reference on the day of the interview.
