Not sure if you Q has been answered. But below is why, as fNWA guys had a 14 year furlough clause.
There is one exception to Section 21 C. 7. c. above. You may be permitted an extension of your furlough period for up to 14 years from your date of furlough if, no later than 30 days prior to the 10 year anniversary of your furlough, you provide written notice of your intent and availability to return to duty within the ten year period, but are unable to do so due to the fact that a recall or new hire class is not available to allow you to return to duty. Once you have submitted your letter of intent, you must return when the first recall opportunity is offered to you.
Thank you very much. i had been under the impression that those furloughed had up to ten years to come back. This clears up matters for me.
