"I understand it hurts", but a trip to psych eval in downtown ATL or a 20 min conversation with AK would probably cut many Compass guys.
Just my emotionless opinion.
This attitude of "I am good enough for Delta, but most of you are not" is so condescending. I am ex-NWA, 30 years at NWA/DAL, and ex-Navy. I was damned glad just to get hired ANYWHERE. At the time I was hired there wasn't much going on - USAir hiring only LPP's, Piedmont hiring limited numbers (wouldn't even send me an application), and Northwest Orient. That was IT. I had friends with top-notch resumes that couldn't even get an interview. I was LUCKY, as are most of us who are here at DAL (and any other "legacy" carrier.) Over my career I have worked with many great pilots and many who could be the poster child for failed pre-employment screening. Nobody is SPECIAL because they were hired at Delta (or any legacy for that matter.) They are all QUALIFIED, CONNECTED, and/or LUCKY, not necessarily in that order. Compass did not hire just anybody who submitted an application. NWA was very involved in the hiring process. I have no problem with the flow as it was set up, and I welcome those flow pilots. They have "paid their dues."
