I had friends with top-notch resumes that couldn't even get an interview. I was LUCKY, as are most of us who are here at DAL (and any other "legacy" carrier.) Over my career I have worked with many great pilots and many who could be the poster child for failed pre-employment screening. Nobody is SPECIAL because they were hired at Delta (or any legacy for that matter.) They are all QUALIFIED, CONNECTED, and/or LUCKY, not necessarily in that order. Compass did not hire just anybody who submitted an application. NWA was very involved in the hiring process. I have no problem with the flow as it was set up, and I welcome those flow pilots. They have "paid their dues."
I think you are reading between the lines too much.
I simply described how, contrary to other opinions, the Compass selection was not the same as NWA’s and Delta’s.

After 4 airlines I see how pilot selection is important. It has nothing to do now much dues people paid.
