It's a symptom of a complacent, risk-averse, and disinterested pilot group that's unwilling or unable to realize how much influence our money will have if we keep it within our pilot group (and cut off the fat cats and moochers at ALPA).
I wouldn't exactly call 93-94% of pilots voting in the last TA "disinterested".
What will change with DPA, IAM, IBEW or even the UAW if the Delta pilot group is still composed of "complacent, risk-averse and disinterested pilots"? That's why your logic fails.
Do you really think that Delta Air Lines Inc gives a flying leap who represents us? Nope. We work in an industry governed by the RLA. No union can give us more "influence".
