Flying on a DAL 737 (ICT-ATL) where I can see the engines. I notice mx putting in oil. During the entire flight, I notice a nice brown streak running down the side of the engine. I contact the FA. She says, "nothing to worry about", I tell her I'm a pilot and that leaking oil is usually not a good thing". Her response - "do you fly a 737?" I kinda kept quiet after that, but a "I'll let the CA know, or yes we are aware and are monitoring" would have gone a lot further for customer service.
Had a passenger get off one day making a mild scene as he was deplaning about our dangerously close proximity to another aircraft as we were landing.
So I tried to explain parallel runway operations. He insisted that we were closer than 500 feet and wanted to know why we didnt respond to our TCAS. So I politely asked him what TCAS.
Figured that was one way to shut him up.
