Can Any Allegiant guys weigh in on, 15% to 20 % of the fleet being broken at anytime? Not getting paid on time? Scheduling leaving you away from base for days at a time because they expect you to jumpseat back so they don't have to buy a ticket, and they keep you in the airport all day not knowing if your really going to leave so they do not have to provide you a hotel?
The word on the street from Allegiant pilots is not great, and things are going down hill fast unless your management. As far as the union goes, the pilot group offers things and the counter offer is NO from the company?
Who knows the exact % of the fleet being broken at any given time? It's not like they publish that number and disseminate it to the pilot group. It does seem like it at times though, from the number of rescue flights we do. They did miss payday yesterday, a problem with the vendor according to the email. We did get paid this morning (direct deposit). I've never sat at an airport all day because they wouldn't get me a hotel, and I've been on reserve for almost 2 years. I have jumpseated home from assignments because full flights would've had me sitting at the airport for hours before there was a seat available that they could purchase for me (which I verified with the airlines). I always tell the captain why I'm jumpseating and haven't been refused a jump yet.
I think G4 could be great, but it's not right now. We are having our share of issues, and if you've got a choice between coming here and going to another major, it would be hard to argue in Allegiant's favor.
