just judging from the amount of times "cost competitive" is jammed down our throats, the recent pattern of bargaining at other regionals, and from the tone reps have taken with the little they can say towards negotiations, I'm just being realistic more than optimistic. I hope you are right and I don't think anyone plans on taking negotiations, but when you weigh a contract vote on fear (lifers not having a job) and a carrot to the non lifers (pref interview somewhere, etc) you achieve the 1 vote more than 50% needed to pass what you want. If it isn't concessionary, I will gladly eat my words. I can promise though, the first time i see the words "at the companies discretion or the company will make the best effort to not.." the vote is no i will no longer read any further
