Sorry for a slight thread drift - but I ran into an FBO line crew that said that I was NOT allowed to be on the plane when they were refueling. The crew did say that this was their own policy, but it did interrupt the more *normal* flow of my operations, though we readily complied.
When I was a fueler we didn't care what the
airlines did on the airline ramp, pilot in or out. But if a unscheduled 121 came in and parked on our ramp, they had to come out. Fire department rule, kind of dumb but whatever. Honestly though who wouldn't want to get off of a Brasilia after 3+ hours in the air already?
