Tutt was eating lunch with his former Delta co-workers at least once a week.
One of my interview questions was, "what would your Chief Pilot say about you?"
I said, "I saw him right down the hall, we could ask him." They laughed and said, "we already have, but we wanted to hear what you would say."
BTW - The Thunderpig was the F105. Capt Tutt flew F4's along side them in Vietnam. Don't know if he flew the F105, but many in his squadron did. If you see him, ask.
Oh Christ, another reason not to go to DELTA. Lets step off our high horse of hot rodding a rocket around the sky saying you saved our country. I hear this stuff every time I get stuck on the JS. Trust me, it gets old real quick. Keep the ruler in the closest and just do your job. I see more errors on DELTA than I do any other means of transportation home. Just an observation, as I'm turning down the volume of retired military pilots' jargon regarding the thrill behind (insert airplane) (insert war/night mission...no one cares) b/s.
