First time ever, I got a Robo Call at 01:27 this am. It said something like, "Delta Crew Scheduling is calling to inverse assign trip number xxx reporting at 01:27, press one if you can accept this trip."

Well, being that I live a 10 hour drive, or 5 hour drive/fly south of ATL, I didn't press one, but I did turn off my ringer and went back to sleep.

I looked up the trip this morning to see who the lucky ducks were, but they never did cover it, I guess not enough guys pressed one! So it was MX CX.

Here's my question, let's say I lived in PTC, and I press one, then I get up and get dressed, pack, jump in my car and get to the airport...only to find they've cancelled the trip due to lack of interest.

What would I be paid for that? Just 2 hours suit up? Or the full value of the original trip (29:20, a DXB trip) ? Or nothing at all, since they eventually showed it as MX CX?

And should I always press one, then go back to sleep?
