I agree, there is nothing I can do about it now and I accept that. The ONLY blemish I have is my college GPA and if I don’t get hired life will move on. Financially I’m already secure so staying at SkyWest wouldn't be the end of the world.
Over the next year the Legacies will have the luxury of being very selective so I’m not expecting a call. Even with my 4000+ hours of 121 T-PIC, 2 degrees and half a dozen+ internals (DL, UA & US/AA). But sometime within the next 2-3ish years I truly believe the airlines will be hiring feverishly and will no longer have the luxury of demanding stellar records. When they offer you an interview it will be with the intent of hiring you, so the job is yours to lose. Which means you won't be competing with the guys sitting next to you. If and when I’m selected I will be fully prepared, this is all I can control.
BTW, when I interviewed at SkyWest there were 11 of us. I had the least experience by far and the lowest GPA of the group. I was the only one hired.
