I've read it twice now. I have no problem with it. I'm happy for ex TWA FO's who've been harmed the most and I hope they have a better quality of life through this.
I've always felt in any merger if you kept the Capt seat you did okay. Not great but okay.
Of the original 1,000 TWA Captains 835 came in senior to me and kept their seats never flying FO at AA until they retired or are still in Capt seats. There were 100 Capt's junior to me that many of them were displaced for 2 years then reinstated and a couple were displaced again for about a year or so and are back in capt seats. Approx 50 Capts were furloughed and are still awaiting reinstatement.
The overwhelming majority of TWA capt's kept their seats.
I think the furloughees were the most harmed. I sincerely wish them happy flying.
I have no problem with this award/decision.
