I have been following various job posting websites for about a year now. It seems the opportunities overseas for type rated pilots is in abundance. It makes me wonder at what point will these carriers begin to train and have to fund type ratings.
Sadly too many Europeans willingly go and buy type ratings for these jobs. Other nationalities are doing similar self funding for places like Air Arabia and Lion Air. Until guys/gals stop doing this there is no chance these places will pay for the training for inexperienced pilots.
