If you knew how much it costs to run seperate certificates you would see why. The duplication is horrendous. You can fly the same airplanes for the same revenue and save 50% in cost on the support side.

One problem looming for TSA is the hole on the Seniority list from 2008-2012. Once the 2008 guys upgrade, there is no one on the list until 2012. There are rumors of street captains this winter once the hiring at all the majors ramps up.

As long as CP pilots get the upgrade slots vacated by the flow attrition go ahead and merge
I suspect this won't be an issue due to the lack of qualified guys to upgrade at TSA after the 2008 hires upgrade.

I fully expect our HQ to move when the lease is up. I don't expect a merged pilot list. A merger of two wholly owned companies isn't nearly as expensive as mergeing two completely independent companies.
Heard the Compass SOC will be moving to the empty area on the second floor where the TWA cabin trainers used to be.
