Syd, I'll let Lee answer for himself! But, my take on this whole Merger is the only thing that you control is YOU!! What many of the Furloughed pilots have taught ME is that this is a pretty good job!!! Yes, management has it's issue's and I'm no fan of the way they approach things!! However, thats not the customers fault!! I made a huge effort the last few months flying when the Merger gets me down not to be part of the problem!!(NOT easy!) The last thing an FO wants me to do is COMPLAIN the whole trip when he has his own issues!! I try to make eye contact with both UAL and CAL crews and say HI or just NOD!! Hasn't always worked but, is sort of entertaining for me when the pilots want to be JERKS!! I along with you am GLAD to have Lee back! I think the moral at UAL was much like it was at CAL in early 90's, not a FUN time!! That's probably what Lee was hitting on!! I have many yrs left, we're hiring tons of NEW pilots lets try to make this place people want to come and enjoy ourselves!! End of Cheerleading!! But, I do believe this is the only way we will be successful!!
