As of now, by 2017 Eagle will be fleet of 47 CRJ's.
There aren't that many wide eye kids out there anymore?

"Second, yesterday management announced a vacancy bid that does not contain any Captain vacancies. We have been told that this is the direct relation to an inability to hire sufficient First Officers. The company has indicated that despite our current need for additional Captains, upgrading First Officers at this point would create an imbalance between First Officers and Captains and therefore upgrades are being delayed."

How would a B scale attract more new hires? We are not short on FO to be able to upgrade and you know that. We have 200-300 more FO than we do CA system wide, that's not taking into account all the captains that are tied up as instructors and management positions. The reason they are not upgrading is highlighted below. Did you see how they didn't say that we are not upgrading because we don't have airplanes, they just put the blame on not having FO. How come the company has not sent out the seniority list that was supposed to be out on the 15th? Stop trying to scare people, and play your games. You are smart enough to see what is happening and management thinks we are stupid enough to play.

"With reference to the flow-through, due to the number of furloughed AA pilots who have now decided to return to employment at AA, it appears that the nine Eagle pilots who were originally scheduled to attend AA training in July will be delayed until October. AA had originally expected to begin hiring new hires in September and that is now expected to be delayed until the end of this year, or the beginning of next."

Taking that B scale would have done nothing for us. They are not going to decide where billions of dollars worth of aircraft are going on a B scale for new hires they can't even find today. To fly what, the Ejet that RAH, Compass, SKW and EXJ will be flying. Like I said earlier, there are folks who are chasing that airplane but it isn't that many. The majority of pilots out there are not sitting there salivating to fly a Ejet, yes nice airplane but folks look at many other factors.

I'll eat my words when you can show proof to me that we are short on FO.
