Voting is online by an independent company. I doubt that anyone would easily be able to monitor the results.
The general opinion on the SACG boards is too close to tell. As is the case on most online forums there are only a handful of the people that actually post. So that is probably not a fair representation.
Most crew members that I talk to are opposed. Their opinion is based mostly on a lack of trust with management. The last CBA negotiated while in bankruptcy was perceived as being rammed through with absolutely no purpose other than to scr*w the crew group. It was passed on management's proviso that it was necessary to save the company. That being said, in general the crew's sentiment is that the 737 LOA, once again being sold as necessary to save the company, will be further perverted into creating some level of indentured servitude.
There is a letter circulating that shows the bonuses that management received during/after the bankruptcy. That will not set well, since the taking of concessions was obviously accomplished only by the crews.
I have seen tough times at SAI. In the past, previous management would work hard and do anything to keep the aircraft moving. They made it work with TWO aircraft. The current management only wants to get married to DHL. They seem oblivious to the concept of diversity.
Picking up such a low margin operation like the DHL 737 operation could actually prove to be more of a detriment than not having it.
