For many, that simply misses the point. Some pilots' career goals weren't to pull gear for someone who's random timing was better, or even to watch someone else do the same.
You completely miss the point...no one gives a darn the size of aircraft just that the big ones are generally tied to a lot more days off and less commuting. FYI many of us have been PICs and have gotten over the glory seeking phase. Also, as a PIC on the Guppy, I bet you pull gear for your FOs...no? How embarrassing.
