True, but for a military pilot that didn't do a full 20 but may have come close, that pay hit could be more severe than a PCL CA's was. A frac/corp pilot who may have had a decent compensation but was always wanting to fly for a legacy could have taken a decent hit also.
What applies to your specific situation ISN'T ALWAYS what applies to everybody else, is it?

Again, true. But you overlooked the point I made that reserve rules weren't always that great. Combined with a mentality that existed that a reserve pilot is always junior.
