Absolutely true. I in no way meant to say that my situation applies to all. First year pay at DL was on par with FedEx more than it was UAL and CAL who paid about 30 an hour. CAL didn't even provide health insurance the first 6 months. I'm not sure what they do now, but that was far more concerning than not having a hotel provided during sim training.


Again, true. But you overlooked the point I made that reserve rules weren't always that great. Combined with a mentality that existed that a reserve pilot is always junior.
