FYI, I have never blamed the CO guys. I blame Jeff and Co. for playing one side against the other very effectively with a compliant CO MEC.
You all are talking as if the merger and aircraft orders happened in a vacuum. You think the deal was dead the first time they talked merger? Star Alliance has been talking about aircraft ordering in volume for discounts and pricing for years, and then CO joins STAR?
It is so obvious I can't believe anyone can seriously think that both companies weren't cooperating their fleet orders almost from the moment they talked merger the first time. Glenn smelled a pay day and just about prostituted himself for the deal. Including parking our 737 fleet. That's why CO 737 flying has grown so much in the last 3 years.
The question will be how much weight will the arbitrators give this for the SLI.
