The DAL Airbus fleet has been simulator flying RNP's forever waiting on that day when Airbus would flip the giant RNP switch in France that allowed us to legally fly an RNP approach in the aircraft. The problem was that Airbus wanted a boatload of money to flip the RNP switch to On. (Same shakedown Boeing gives us on buying post delivery takeoff data.)
Well, that's a lot of words to say: Connecting the dots makes CAAC think that we have completed a big Airbus order and they flipped the RNP switch for "free".

Yep. RNP certification that didn't cost massive amounts of dough was contingent on us buying jets from them. I believe the software is installed in the aircraft already.
This is the dot connecting I was referring to this morning. I now believe the 330/321 rumor not to be a rumor any longer.
We had been practicing RNP but didn't have approval because of the $$ airbus wanted.
We wanted the aft galleys removed but didn't because of the $$ airbus wanted to certify them.
No IFE in the airbus because of a number of factors.
Now all of a sudden those things are happening at the same time as the 330/321 rumor.
No coincidence in my humble O.
