4) are you in it for pay, prestige, security, or schedules? That is a hard thing to answer. If it is pay, you'll do better at UPS. Not much prestige to be had if your ego needs such a thing. Job security should be good but upgrade may be a while unless you want to go to ANC. Schedules can be good or bad, depending on your own definitions.
I recently flew with a 20+ year captain from USAir, 52 years old and at UPS for 2 years. He seemed pretty comfortable with his decision.
