Interesting. What if Delta decided to hire every other month? Say 100 in Jan, then 100 in Mar, etc. The numbers of off the street folks could go way up.
If Delta wants the majority of their new hires off the street, they would simply hire the majority of their pilots after the flows exhausted for the year. i.e. hire 30 a month for the first 6 months of the year, 200 per month for the last six months.
