Wow, in one swoop, we have rekindled the Degree vs Non degree debate AND Military vs Non military debate.

Let me summarize the multiple threads on this topic: Having a degree has many merits for making you a better pilot but by no means is a sure fire way to. Being from the military has many merits for making you a better pilot, but by no means is a sure fire way to.
Question I raised wasn't to debate "degree" vs "non degree" but "2 year Aviation degree" vs "Engineering degree" in general. The lobbyists have the answer!
