I don't think you totally understand your contractual rights.
1) When the SLI is completed you
must be officially recalled before any hiring can continue.
2) At any point prior to SLI, or if the SLI is delayed, you can make a single phone call to the number on your sCAL job offer packet and be placed in a future class of
your choice prior to it being filled with off-the-street hires.
