Read that last statement very carefully and you'll see what is at the heart of all of this. DOJ cannot allow Delta and United to operate as is if this merger does not happen. That is why there will be further action if US Airways and American do not merge.
Wow! You seem almost like a paid rep for the DOJ (not trying to be rude).
It’s ok to take a side in the matter but…really? It seems like you must have made a large wager in Vegas on the outcome of this merger. Take a breath. It’s going to take some time to show what the ultimate outcome will be.
The folks in this industry in favor of this merger (as the ones in this thread) make a lot of valid points coupled with just plain old common sense based on past and current experience. Hard to go against that.
Time will tell what happens.
